February Release #2

We've made the following updates to Maecos.

Equipment browser

We're introducing a brand-new Equipment browser module. A visual, user-friendly way to navigate your equipment hierarchy using cards and pictures.

Key features:

  • Visual equipment navigation: Browse your equipment hierarchy through rich cards showing equipment pictures and key details. Clicking into a piece of equipment shows its sub-equipment as cards, making it intuitive to drill down through your equipment tree.

  • Equipment pictures: Upload and manage images for each piece of equipment. Pictures appear as thumbnails throughout the module and can be browsed in a carousel on the equipment detail page — giving your team instant visual recognition.

  • Equipment owners: Assign owners to equipment so it's always clear who is responsible. Owners are prominently displayed on the equipment home page.

  • Favorite equipment: Pin frequently used equipment for quick access. Pinned equipment appears in a carousel at the top of the equipment list.

  • Equipment home page: Each piece of equipment gets its own detail page with sections for sub-equipment, documents, logbook, procedures, and checks

Enabling the Equipment module: This feature is not visible by default. Users need the Settings > Can view equipment home permission to access the module.

Document editor UX improvements

  • Block focus and hover: Blocks highlight on hover and focus, making it clearer which block you're editing.

  • Heading numbering: Headings are now automatically numbered (1, 1.1, 1.2, 2, etc.), giving documents a clearer structure.

  • Document publish validation: The system now remembers publication details should publication of a document fail.

Improvements

  • Autocomplete search: Dropdowns with many items now show a "type to search more items" placeholder, making it clear that more results are available beyond what's initially loaded.

  • Skill level proficiency scale names: Proficiency scale names can now be edited after creation.

  • Training date default: The training date form now defaults to 9 AM instead of midnight, matching typical training schedules.

Bugfixes

  • Meeting agenda items: Fixed a bug where removing or reordering agenda items in one meeting would affect all meetings in the series. This happened because copied agenda items shared the same ID across meetings.

  • Meeting navigator: Fixed an issue where outstanding actions wouldn't refresh when navigating between meetings using the meeting navigator.

  • Checklist instance padding: Fixed layout padding in the checklist instance screen.

  • Equipment admin form: Fixed equipment tree searching and the full path name display in the admin form.

  • OEE bulk justify: Fixed the bulk justify modal for OEE not working correctly.

  • Meeting tabs: Removing, reordering, or renaming a meeting tab that was propagated from a series affected all meetings in the series, not just the one being edited.
