(S&T) Skill

  • Definition - The skill is the element in a skill matrix employees can be qualified on. Each skill can optionally be split in different "proficiency levels"

  • Examples - First aid (safety), Replacing bearings (maintenance), change over cleaning (food safety), change management (leadership), ...

  • Configuration - A skill can be created via SettingsSkills & TrainingSkills

(S&T) Proficiency scale

  • Definition - (up to) 5 step scale to distinguish between competency levels

  • Examples - (3 levels) Beginner, Advanced, Trainer or (5 levels) Awareness, Knowledge, Basic, Skilled, Expert

  • Configuration - A proficiency scale can be created via TrainingProficiency scales

(S&T) Skill categories

  • Definition - Grouping of skills in functional categories for filtering and reporting

  • Examples - Safety, Human Resources, Quality, Leadership, Food Safety, Operational Excellence, ...

(S&T) Skill block

  • Definition - Grouping skills simplifies the administration of skill needs and reporting

  • Examples - Onboarding, Machine X operations, Safety, ...

(S&T) Profile

  • Definition - A predefined list of skills and/or skill blocks to acquire. Drives consistency and scaleability in administering skill needs

  • Examples - Operator, Forklift Truck Driver, Process Operator,...

(S&T) Profile group

  • Definition - Combination of profiles. Used in communication & permissions
