Actions
Actions are task items that help teams track and follow up on work across the shop floor. They can live on their own or be linked to other parts of the platform eg issues, meetings, checklists, production orders etc
Creating Actions
Actions are both lightweight and powerful. They can be created as standalone action, but most commonly, they are originated as a quick add-on to other modules. This gives the action its context.
Quick create: a lightweight inline component, directly within the entity detail pages of other modules (e.g. inside a defect, a meeting, or a checklist). Just type a title and press enter.
Full create: Open the action form where you fill in more details from the optional fields like description, priority, assignee, due date, labels, file attachments, and visibility (public or private).
Numbering Actions are automatically numbered (ACTION-1, ACTION-2, ...) so they're easy to reference when having conversation on actions and one wants to avoid confusion
The fastest way (both as the add-on or the full action form) is to write down the action itself. Details like owner and due date often are not known at the moment of creation or subject to a larger discussion. To avoid side tracking and disruption of the flow, this lightweight approach is appreciated by lots of customers.
Mandatory fields
Title - The action itself. Your one sentence summary of what needs to be done
Priority - Selection of High, Medium, Low or no priority (as the default value). Priority can be changed at any time with a single click from the action detail view or directly from a list

Status - Every action that is being created is open. Each action follows a simple workflow from open to closed or cancelled. Both cancelled and closed actions can be reopened.

Status transitions are tracked with full history of who changed it, when, and from which state. This history is visible in the activity section of every action.
Optional fields
Due date - The deadline or due date by when one wants to see the action to be completed. When originating actions from the action module (not via an inline component in a module), shortcut buttons for common intervals will be shown (Tomorrow, next week, Next month.) When an action is approaching its due date, the assigned user can receive automatic reminders via in-app notification and email.

Assignee - Actions can be assigned to both persons or workstations. The assignee can be changed at any time. In case notifications are turned on, reassigning actions can trigger a message to the new assignee (applicable only for persons)
Person - Named users of the platform. Requires the personal login
Workstation - Groups of users. Will be visible when workstation is selected

Visibility - Selection and choice to show actions to everyone or to a selection of users only
Public -

Private -
A private action is only visible to the creator, the assignee and in case they are orginated in a meeting, the participants of the meeting. This is useful for sensitive follow-ups that shouldn't be visible to the entire team. Privacy can be toggled at any time from the action detail view.
Subactions - One can add (multiple) subactions to an action. In case the action requires specific activities from other colleagues or yourself, this can be documented and detailed in this section. Sub-actions appear nested under their parent and each one has its own status, assignee, priority, and due date. The parent action shows a count of how many sub-actions are linked.

Labels - Actions support labels from the labelling system. Labels help with categorization, filtering, and reporting.
Comments - Everyone can start a conversation on an action. Team members can post comments, creating a traceable discussion around the task. This includes images and files to support documenting proof for eg audit or quick referenc of the evidence of completion

Managing Actions
Inline Editing
Most action fields can be edited directly from list views without opening the full detail page:
Click the status icon to close or reopen
Click the priority icon to change priority
Click the assignee avatar to reassign
Click the due date to pick a new date
Click the title to rename
This makes bulk triage fast. You can work through a list of actions without ever leaving the page.
Component linkage
Actions can be manually linked to Issues, Meeting and other actions. To do so, open an action and click on the
button to open the below panel:

Select the issue/meeting/action from the dropdown fields. The
will become colored
and need to be clicked to actually add the action to the specific issue/meeting/action.

Actions can be decoupled using the
icon or more issues/meetings/actions can be linked using the same dropdown menu to select
Action lists
All actions are listed in the action library. This will show all public actions and your personal actions.
Presets
Three built-in filters are available:
Assigned to me (default) - shows open actions assigned to you or your favorite workstations
Created by me - shows all actions you created
All - shows everything

Filters can be combined freely for custom views, using the
button
Filtering
The action list supports filtering by:
Title or description (text search, also matches action number)
Priority
Status (with optional time range — e.g. "closed in the last 7 days")
Transition (e.g. "reopened this month")
Assignee (user or workstation)
Created by
Source entity type (e.g. only actions linked to defects)
Labels

Sorting
Five sort options: creation date, last updated, open first, closed first, and priority (descending) with creation date (ascending).
