SAP PM Integration

Configure the bidirectional integration between Maecos and SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) for notification and work order synchronization.

Maecos integrates with SAP PM to bridge the gap between shop-floor issue management and enterprise maintenance workflows. Operators can trigger SAP PM notifications directly from Maecos issues, and status updates flow back to keep both systems in sync.

How it works

When configured, the SAP integration enables:

  • Issue → SAP notification: Creating or updating an issue in Maecos can automatically generate or update a corresponding SAP PM notification

  • Status synchronization: Workflow transitions in Maecos can be mapped to SAP notification status changes

  • Field mapping: Custom fields in Maecos can be mapped to SAP notification fields (functional location, equipment, priority, etc.)

Prerequisites

  • SAP PM module active in your SAP landscape

  • RFC or API connectivity between Maecos and your SAP system

  • Functional location and equipment master data alignment between systems

Configuration

SAP PM integration is configured by your Maecos administrator under Settings → SAP PM. Configuration includes:

  • Connection parameters (SAP system, client, credentials)

  • Notification type mapping

  • Field mapping rules

  • Status transition mapping

  • Error handling and retry behavior

circle-info

SAP integration setup requires coordination between your SAP Basis team, plant maintenance functional team, and Maecos. Contact your Maecos representative to plan the integration.

Troubleshooting

Fields missing in SAP notification

Mapping not configured for that field

Review field mapping in Settings → SAP PM
